Meet The Team

Born and raised in Barrie, Ontario, Rob is a former techpreneur who spent 16 years in the Phoenix Arizona area where he co-founded, grew and eventually sold an online marketing company that specialized in Internet based lead generation for blue chip financial companies.

Returning to Ontario in 2012, Rob obtained his Realtor’s license and partnered with Chestnut Park Real Estate Ltd., Brokerage to pursue a vision of evolving the luxury home marketing & sales process for the digital age. After mentoring for two years with a top agent team, Rob quickly rose to the top production levels in the company receiving Chestnut Park’s most elite distinction, The Chairman Award in 2016 – 2023.

Rob is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario. He currently lives in beautiful Collingwood Ontario with his wife Kris and three children Nate, Ella and Owen.

Cheryl MacLaurin specializes in recreational real estate in the Creemore, Clearview and Mulmur areas. She purchased land and built a house in the hills of Creemore in 1993 and is an enthusiastic promoter of the area where she lives and works.

Cheryl comes to real estate from a long background working with people in a variety of settings: community worker in inner-city Toronto, infant therapist, and kindergarten teacher for many years at the esteemed Mabin School. She holds a Masters Degree from the University of Toronto.

Cheryl is involved in local community activities and is currently an active member of the Purple Hills Arts and Heritage Society. Her real estate career began in 2002.

In 2016, 2019 and 2021 Cheryl was awarded the prestigious, Chestnut Park Chairman’s Award for production and the Vice-Chairman’s Award in 2017, 2018

Cheryl is a member of the Southern Georgian Triangle Real Estate Board as well as the Toronto Real Estate Board.

Jeff is excited for the opportunity to join Chestnut Park and the Georgian Bay Group. He spent over two decades building a successful health and fitness consulting business in Toronto, that thrived on Jeff’s success at forming and sustaining strong interpersonal relationships. He designed and ran a boutique training facility, while providing consulting services to multiple start-ups. He spent his final years in Toronto as a Clinical Lead in the Executive Health Program at the Cleveland Clinic Canada.

Jeff’s decades in service-oriented businesses have provided him with a solid foundation for assisting clients. He has a strong capacity for seeing and working with his clienteles’ points of view. He possesses a keen attention to detail and is motivated to achieve optimal results through dedicated, process-driven focus.
Having recently relocated, Jeff is particularly interested in assisting others seeking permanent relocation from other markets and those in search of seasonal and recreational opportunities in Southern Georgian Bay.

During his time here, Jeff volunteers as a coach with the Collingwood Trailblazers basketball organization.

A graduate of Dalhousie University, Jeff is a grateful partner (Jillian), and a proud father of three.

Born and raised in Florida, Michelle Exner is excited to join Chestnut Park. Michelle brings her energetic southern hospitality and extensive experience in real estate, interior design, project planning, development project launch, and sales to the Georgian Bay Group.

After serving in Management of the Kitchen and Bath division for Hughes Supply, a Fortune 500 company based in Florida, Michelle transitioned her career to real estate sales where she quickly developed a reputation as a tenacious & dedicated advocate for her clients while becoming one of the top-selling agents in Orlando. Michelle has successfully handled transactions ranging from multi-unit apartment complexes to first-time home buyer purchases, building enduring relationships along the way.

Michelle resides in Collingwood, Ontario, with her husband Tim and her two young sons, Max and Brock, where she enjoys the abundant social and recreational opportunities that life in southern Georgian Bay offers.
